Wallaman Falls Outing

This outing was planned to be at Wallaman Falls during the wet season so members could view a good flow of water going over the 305m high falls. The 16 members who attend were not disappointed as there was a good flow thundering into the gorge below.
For the day a bird list in excess of 90 species was compliled. The lists includes species seen from Townsville to Wallaman Falls and then from the falls to and including Tyto Wetlands at Ingham.

The photo below is not the Cassowary seen on the outing but it represents the clear view of the bird that most members on the outing would have seen. Those in the leading vehicle had an excellent view as the vehicle had to be  stopped while the bird walked off the road!
